MOONFLOWER MADNESS

Beneath the light of the moon the Chinese moonflower blooms only one night a year. No European has seen it blossom and Zachary Cartwright, Victorian rebel and plant-hunter, is determined to do so. He stays overnight at the British Residency in Chung King before setting off into China’s unexplored vastness in search of it. Gianetta Hollis, niece of the British Envoy, has never been allowed to leave the safety of Chung King and explore the wild and beautiful countryside beyond it. Now she sees her opportunity.
